This is like my relief when spring finally comes back around. In fact, it is springtime herself. Our relationship is the bud of a better life. It is a farewell to the unsustainable conditions for growth. Now, there is warmth and color and life as well as birdsong, the buzz of bees, butterflies and storms of elation—love like thunder that rumbles ferociously and feelings like lighting that strike quick, bright and burning hot, containing more than enough electricity to last this lifetime. Yes, now I can never forget you, and that’s perfect because I don’t ever want to.
Love Like Spring by Melodi Laine is a microfiction story about the warmth that true love brings.
